Lounging about in the garden mostly today with the hot weather an unusual experience this year!
I did have a couple of strolls up the local fields.
The garden sky watch proved difficult with the clear blue sky and anything passing , probably too high for me to see!
Birds:-
Pheasant, Swallows, Coal Tit, Buzzard.
14 Gulls in the lower fields.
Later 3 Buzzards were up together over Oats Royd, one mobbing a second one.
They all seemed to drift SW.
Might have been a Raven in the mix - not sure.
A Green Woodpecker called - not seen though today.
Other quiet bird calls heard throughout but I cannot ID them and they are too quiet for Merlin app to pick up.
Mistle Thrush were very active in the Bradshaw Fields this evening with c20 strewn about in the meadows and some on the rough banking.
Some distant Linnets in the lower fields.
Approaching 7pm and it is still very pleasant in the garden and a Sparrowhawk has just shot by within 2 foot of me nose-end!
Couple of Wall Brown Butterflies.
