Local Fields on a damp evening.

It was a dark wet morning when Ruth (Sue's sister) arrived bearing gifts.

A BIG one "Cwt"  bag of Cooking Apples.

Sue smiles benignly and said "oh Thanks" but I could see that in her mind she was thinking "As if!".

After a long chinwag Ruth left with a birthday present from Sue then Sue and I went to Aldi, Clayton which was packed to the gills.

The rain continued all afternoon but it was really mild, while Sue studied the bag of "cookies"!

I eventually manged to get in a dry evening walk up the local fields with the nights closing in now it's dark at quarter to seven,

Birds:-

c100 Meadow Pipit was a mega count for me.

(Probably migrating birds grounded temporarily by the dark wet weather).

4 Stonechat way, way off - moving on and off some barbed wire fencing.

Kestrel.

Usual Gulls in the fields and a few large Gull > w occasionally.

A Fox was in the field.
