A cold, windy, but very sunny day was ideal for a walk today.
I had a good tramp about this afternoon (after looking at the Raggalds Flood and a bit of Percy Rd. this morning).
This aft I went along the Bradshaw fields to Ogden and around the water.
I was looking for some berry trees and some birds eating them but berries were in very short supply at Ogden? So I took a different route home, passing the Moorlands Pub and going down Blind Lane and through Bradshaw Park.
I did locate some decent berries just before The Moorlands Pub but just 2 Blackbird and 2 Squirrels here, worth a look another time.
Not much else seen after that.
Birds:
Raggalds Flood Stroll:
8 Fieldfare Overhead.
Kestrel.
1 Lapwing and 6 Black Headed Gulls on the flood.
Good Tramp:-
Fox.
100 Gulls at one point (97 counted but there could be 3 hiding!!).
Commons, Black Headed and a few Herring Gulls here.
A Raven and a Great Spotted Woodpecker heard at the north end.
Cormorant.
A Sparrowhawk flashed by as I went down the lane on the left of the promenade on my way towards the Moorlands.
Mistle Thrush.
The walk from the Moorlands via Bradshaw Park was uneventful in the extreme.
A cold crisp evening and I can actually seen the moon...talking of which.....
They don't make them like this any more do they?
(Thank Goodness).
