Local Area(s)

It was another beautiful autumn morning with bright blue skies.

Cold with some frost, a great day for a walk.

I had a stroll up to the Raggalds to check the  flood (frozen and on the wain ) along Percy Rd and down Taylor Lane.

Taylor Lane was dangerously frozen in places.

After lunch I had a quick walk up my local fields before we took Abi to a party at Adrenaline Trampoline Park, Heckmondwike.

Birds:-

Raggalds Walk:

c40 Common Gulls ( 18, 7, 12).

2 Stock Dove.

20 Lapwing.

2 Kestrel.

Mistle Thrush.

Little Owl.

2 Pied Wagtail.

Green Woodpecker over Bradshaw Lane.

Great Spotted Woodpecker flew from trees near our house.

Local Fields:-

Quiet.

Four Grey Partridge flushed early (hope the other 3? are still ok).

Usual gang of Crows included at least 5 Rooks.

A Large bird possibly a Raptor was high circling over the road to Fly Flats that I picked up looking west from Bradshaw Fields was interesting but tooooooo far for my large zoom camera to pick up - just a black dot on one of 10 speculative photos that I took.

Studley Pike from Taylor Lane.

An unusual coloured Blackbird.
