Brighouse Canal Walk

Another windy one but the weather improved late morning as we drove down to Brighouse centre and enjoyed a walk along the canal to the ski lake and back.

Loads of people out walking here today, the majority with dogs for company.

The river was fast flowing and very full, nothing much seen on the bits of it that I scanned.

The birds on the Ski Lake stayed stubbornly distant!

Spoons, was our destination come snack time, and it  was very busy but we got a pleasant table and the food was nice and good value as usual here.

We called at Halifax on our way home for some new gear for Abi, the journey home had a heavy shower with some sleety stuff in among.

It looks like another foul day tomorrow before some welcome respite, of quite a few days,  from all this rain and gales.

Birds:-

A pair of Grey Wagtail were on the tow path by Ganny Lock.

2 Canada Geese.

c12 small birds airborne looked siskin like - but no photo.
