Local Walk - Thursday

Yet another very wet and very windy day today.

The rain went AWOL for a time , late afternoon , so I had a Wellie Squelch along the fields, through the farm, up The Grunt along Percy and down Taylor.

I gave Soil Hill a miss today.

Loads of saturated fields hereabouts - still better than saturated fat I guess, which I probably have eaten too much of with Chocolates, Mince Pies and stuff!

I was not expecting much , given the wind's strength and my expectations were met smack on!

Birds:-

2 Pheasant (One flushed from underfoot SQUALKING loudly - nearly gave me a heart attack).

10 Canada Geese.

2 Dunnock.

79 (4,15,10,50) Small Gulls. (Nearly all Common Gulls).

c10 Magpie.

c 110 Starlings.

Blackbird.

Wren.

Jackdaws.

c20 Carrion Crow.

3 Rook.

Woodpigeon.

2 Mallard.
