This morning I had a walk up to look at the Raggalds Flood and carried on up Percy Road and down Taylor Lane to home.
Good to chat with Percy Rd Ken today.
A cool calm outing.
A later 502 bus than our usual one took us to Cross Roads (above Keighley) where we just had time for a quick drink and a bun in the excellent Wildes café thereabouts , before we caught the B3 Hebden Bridge bus.
500 plus Gulls in the Cullingworth fields were seen from the 502 bus.
From Hebden Bridge we enjoyed a walk along the canal to the Blue Café at Mytholmroyd where we both had a veggy type meal.
On again , along the canal, to Luddenden Foot to wait for a long delayed bus - due to the large roadworks taking place here.
The late bus coincided with the schools 'loosing' as Sue would say and the bus was rammed solid.
I remember lots of banter and laughter on the school buses of old, from my youth, but nowadays all the school kids seemed pretty quiet and miserable, just staring at their smart phones.
I read somewhere today that Elon Musk has completed the first brain chip implant (as if!) where you can just think of what you want the computer to do, and voilà it does it!
My problem with this is ..... will they be able to locate me brain?
If so, my first brain chip thought will be:-
Kylie play "Can't get you out of my head".
Then again, I think It's possible to do that already with a 'Smart Speaker'? whatever that is.
Just made in home before dark!

My Nikon P900 camera has developed a fault, alas.
The fancy monitor display that can swivel etc shows the picture until is 50% open then the monitor goes white and the red "I'm on" light on the camera top goes out.
It's still usable because I use the EVF but I cannot preview the photos easily any more.
The question now is - is the repair worth it (If it can be repaired) and is this the start of some more electronics on it - packing in?
One for me to mull over.
Birds:-
Bradshaw Walk:
Green Woodpecker called loudly from Taylor Lane area.

The Sparrowhawk than passed very low over the wall and dropped down to fly low down just above the road to disappear over the corner wall stile towards Kelham.

1 Barnacle Goose obscured by trees on the opposite river bank near Brearley.
A second Pink Footed Goose near the Barnacle was feeding like billy-o.

An enjoyable day out - just made it home in daylight.
