Garden / Raggalds Flood / Hebden Bridge to Todmorden

After a report from JM of Pink Footed Geese over Brighouse moving towards Elland this a.m. I decided to have a short garden sky watch.

This paid dividends when a sizeable skein of 135  Pinkies , heard from Queensbury area , flew over our garden shortly afterwards!

In fact, my Whats App pinged off and on all day with many Pinkies seen over Calderdale airspace.

Later, while we waited in for a delivery man, I had a walk up to a frozen Raggalds Flood to be greeted with a few Crows!

Fortunately the delivery soon arrived allowing us to leg it down Bradshaw Lane for a later 502 bus to Cross Roads (above Keighley).

We just had time to nip into Wildes cafĂ© here grab a sarnie and coffee for lunch before catching the B3 to Hebden Bridge.

The service here is super quick, the staff friendly with some singing! and the grub great.

We had a break from tradition at Hebden Bridge choosing to walk to Todmorden along the canal.

A great day for a walk, especially with snow forecast for tomorrow.

Yet another "Spoons" added to our repertoire with a cracking one in Todmorden where I had a pint of  Worthington's and a Cookie Crunch yum, yum.

The bus back from Todmorden to Halifax was packed and we caught a second bus to Bradshaw Church and walked home in the dark - a really enjoyable jaunt.
