Raggalds, Percy Road etc

A lousy morning's weather, very heavy rain and strong winds as we took Emma out for some breakfast in Sowerby Bridge Wetherspoons.

With a big black cape over her and her wheelchair we managed to negotiate the ins and outs ok though.

She was unsure of what to have for brekky so we ordered 2 breakfasts - Pancakes with syrup (which I like) and scrambled eggs (which I hate) - guess which one she nabbed when they both arrived - yeah you got it.

I really enjoyed a very late afternoon walk up to look at the Raggalds Flood followed by a quick circular along the local roads.

It was good to get out and about with little wind and no rain, dark when I got back in at 5 ish.

Birds:

Raggalds flood had some juice some Cows and one solitary Lapwing when I arrived there.

I did see 6 more airborne Lapwing as I scanned the area from the top of Percy Rd later.

Kestrel.

8 Fieldfare were very distant on some wires above soil hill.

A Mistle Thrush was on a Taylor Lane pylon.

A Little Owl was seen from the bottom of Taylor Lane as I looked north.

(No Barn Owls seen in a while now?).

Riddle:

What is so fragile that even saying its name can break it?

Answer below.

Riddle Answer:

Silence.
