Cromwell Nature Reserve

A drizzly feel to things late a.m. in Bradshaw, so I drove down to Brookfoot to have a birding walk along the river and canal.
An enjoyable three hours or so on the look out for something special brought a few rewards.
It was good to talk to Mick and Kath (and also Darren I think).
Birds hard to come by today - loads of contact calls and some bird song mainly from Chiffchaffs.

Birds:-
Chiffchaffs singing.
Moorhen with young.
Grey Wagtail.
Couple of singing Blackcaps.
Stock Dove.

A Juv. Great Spotted Woodpecker was in the feeding area but not feeding on the feeders.
It was looking for insects in the trees there with the company of many juv. Tit species and three hungry Squirrel.

Goosander with young.
Nothing seen on the ski lake through the railings and trees.
A few Black Headed Gull and Lesser Black-backed Gulls over head.

Also a few, very distant and dodgy photographs of..... well gave a look!!!
