Local Fields in a Gale!

A rip roaring gale here today .

This morning we did some shopping in Clayton, Aldi where a lot of the excellent Veg were only 18p not bad if you need , lettuce say - a leek!
Now that's the way to celery some , not too hard on the sky rocket and the peppers were not to be sniffed at either.
Would have bought Melon, Colli , but they made me feel sad and there was not mushroom left in my bag anyway.

This afternoon some heavy squally showers blown along on this gale, came and went.

Eventually I risked a very short walk (soft sod what I am) up the local fields to East Croft Farm and back.

I did not do too bad weather wise with some light showers blowing along and me cap stayed put!

I didn't expect to see much and my expectations were 100% accurate.

Top of the pops was two bobbing Meadow Pipit that flew past with difficulty.

I see that the winter Solstice  happened this a.m. - so we are on our way to summer time.
