Cold again today with loads of lying snow and snow flurries in the wind.
I decided to do my usual walk along the fields to Ned Hill Road and back.
But (after trudging through snow up to me welly tops) when I got Ned Hill Road I decided it would be 'easier' to go up Ned Hill Road and home via Percy Road etc. (soft sod what I am).
I was on the lookout for a Snow Bunting but no joy.
Just one blizzard-ly outburst when I got to the top of Ned Hill Road otherwise the walk was enjoyable really.
The snow has brought down some branches on conifers at Ned Hill Road bend.
This afternoon I walked to Keighley Road Surgery to pick up my ugly pills - I can't do with getting too handsome now can I?
This second walk was not very pleasant, especially the bit along Keighley Road.
The water on flooded path by Bradshaw Park went over me boot top reminding me of a joke:-
What do you call a cowboy with a hole in his boot?
Tex Watter.
Birds:-
I was not expecting much this morning but I did get a bonus or two.
Barn Owl hunting Bradshaw Fields.
4 Red Legged Partridge.
(One Partridge disappeared under the snow).
4 Wren.
Usual Crow Species.
3 Stock Dove.
Pr. Bullfinch. Goldfinch.
Starling. Black Headed Gull.
A Raven called as it flew over our house this a.m.
