Abi with us today.
Local:
I had a very cold hour and a half walk along the local fields to Ned Hill Rd. bottom and back this morning.
Dark and gloomy today.
I have been putting some fat pellets on the field walls during the extreme snowy weather.
The highly intelligent Carrion Crows have got my number and watch as I walk through the walled path.
They are soon sat at their Yorkshire stone dinner table and gobble up the pellets in no time.
I do lob some into the wall holes and cracks so, hopefully, other smaller birds or animals might benefit.
Soil Hill (top) There and Back:
This afternoon the ladies went-a-shopping so I had a walk up to Soil Hill.
As I started going up Taylor Lane, fog began to form and it got thicker as I reached the hill - it was pointless to hang around so, after crossing the hill on the main top path I retraced my steps home.
Birds:-
Local Walk:
Gulls coming and going but :-
10 Common Gull, 3 Black Headed Gull,
3 Herring Gull at one point - trying to turn one into a Y.L. Gull but failing!!
Mistle Thrush singing.
Greenfinch, Coal Tit, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Robin, Blackbird and Jackdaws by the farm.
2 Stock Dove.
Raven over head.
5 Red Legged Partridge, early on, that ran down the field were seen again later on a wall top.
No Barn Owl in a while is a tad worrying and the Little fellow was not seen today - but the Little 'un will be here - somewhere.

2 Stock Dove, 24 Common Gull.
Taylor Lane:
4 Mistle Thrush, Pheasant.
A solitary Lapwing was in the flooded field next to the midden.
