Late morning I had the bright idea of looking for Snow Bunting on Soil Hill.
After trudging up a slipper Taylor Lane I realised that there would be far too much deep snow on The Hill to cope with so I turned right and headed off along Percy Road, past the Raggalds and down Bradshaw Lane.
Not a lot about, surprise, surprise.
This afternoon I had a trudge along the local fields to Crabtree Hall Farm and back.
Birds:-
Local Lanes:-
3 Grey Partridge flew over Taylor Lane.
Crows and Rooks were feeding with Sheep.
Chaffinch. Greenfinch, Robin, Dunnock, Blackbird (Percy Rd feeders).
1 Common Gull over.
Bradshaw Fields:-
6 Red Legged Partridge.
4 Greenfinch.
1 Herring Gull.
2 Pheasant.
Little Owl.
It looks like it will be Monday before the weather gets warmer.
