After a visit to Wildes cafe at Cross Roads above Keighley for lunch, Sue dropped me opposite Coal Lane Ogden so I could enjoy a birding walk home.
A bright sunny, cold day with the wind getting up later on (Pretty lazy today that wind?).
The usual route - around Ogden Water, a coffee in the cafe, and home via Soil Hill Main track.
The track from Coal Lane to Ogden water had many calling Goldcrest high in the conifers there.
The trees and bushes around the water were lively with bird call and some singing.
A pair of Goosander were on the water for a change and I finally caught up with the Kingfisher after my last 5 visits had failed to see it.
Soil Hill was quite windy by mid-afternoon but Teal on the NK pond were a nice bonus.
Birds:-
Goldcrest, Chaffinch, Treecreeper. Coal Tit.
Stock Dove.
c100 Small Gulls at one point with a couple of Herring Gulls.
Kingfisher.
Pheasant.
2 Stock Dove.
2 Fieldfare.
4 Teal.
Buzzard.
Very nice Teals John! Didn't get those this morning! Fingers crossed for tomorrow
