We parked the car in Brighouse late morning and caught the bus to Southowram to walk back to Brighouse, through the woods and along the canal and river.
A cold bright day where we called at the Cromwell N.R. cafe for a welcome cake and coffee break.
Nothing 'new' on the Ski Lake, although I only had a quick stop and took a few photos.
Late afternoon I had a walk along the local fields to Ned Hill Road bottom and back.
More Herring Gulls than usual in the fields this afternoon.

Southowram - Brighouse Walk.
2 Nuthatch, Great Spotted Woodpecker.
A Crow with a lot of white in its plumage.
5 Goldeneye (1 Drake).
3 Coot, Moorhen, Goosander.
9 Cormorant.
3 Scaup (1 Male).
15 Tufted Duck (12 Drakes).
5 Canada Geese.
Lesser Black-backed Gull, Herring Gull, Black Headed Gull, Common Gull
4 Heron. (3 in trees).
Local Fields:
15 Rook.
Jackdaw, Carrion Crow.
Starling, Woodpigeon.
c25 Herring Gull.
Lots of Small Gulls strewn about over many fields.
Greenfinch, Blackbird, Robin. Dunnock, Wren,
2 Stock Dove.
Little Owl.
4 Lesser Black-backed Gull.
A very dark Lesser Black-backed Gull.
