Brighouse and Lightcliffe Areas

Left to my own devices today with Sue picking up Abi from Wakefield and also her friend Daniella for a sleep over, but first she had a Play Gym visit and shopping with them so I was left on my lonesome (play sad music).

3 Degrees appeared on my car this morning - I told them to get off so I could go birding.

I had a nosy around some of the 'good spots' around Brighouse with a visit to Lightcliffe.

Nice and sunny today, but it did not warm up until lunchtime ish.

I found a new (to me) sarnie shop on the Brighouse - Baliff Bridge road, bought a BIG ham salad and a bun and sat outside the shop , on chairs provided, eating it yum yum.

(The sandwich I'd brought with me I'd had left in the car and walked off -  oops).

Scam:

As I was walking back from the sarnie shop a white van pulled up next to me and next to a house being done up.

The builder said " Hello - remember me - did you get your roof repaired? "

"What?" I replied.

" I was working on the roof next to your neighbour when you had a problem with your roof" said the builder.

"What? Where was that then?" I replied.

" You know where you B.... live - don't you"? said the builder.

"I do, yes, but I bet you don't" I said.

"Yes I do - you live at 12 *********  street" said the builder as he walked off.
