We were unsure about bus times today, with it being Good Friday and a bank holiday.
However, seeing that most of the banks have closed or are thinking of closing most days are bank holidays?
And it came to pass that today's bus was a Saturday service and tomorrow (Saturday) is a Sunday service - so no Bradshaw 526 tomorrow......here endeth the bus timetable sermon.
We caught the bus to Halifax - another to Luddenden Foot and walked along the railway path to Hebden Bridge.
In Hebden I took out a loan so we could afford two currant T cakes, 2 drinks and one scone in a cafe in St George's square - is it me?
Anyway, I'm thinking of changing my name to Percy - Percy Monoius ...... ho, ho ,ho
Pretty dull and damp to start, brightened a bit and warmed up nicely to finish.
Birds:-
No Optics today.
2 Heron chicks looked to be present in one nest and 2 adult birds were also seen.
The Barnacle Goose was playing hide and seek near the Brearley ponds with a few Sand Martins zooming low over the river.
Usual Chiffchaff and Willow Warbler , Nuthatch but no Woodpecker species.
More of a walk than a birding outing today.
Very wet after tea stopped me going out up the local fields.
(Soft sod what I am - and the bog will probably have some soft sods next visit).
I did take a really awful video on my Barney Rubble mobile phone where Barney can be seen - just.
