Bradshaw - Soil Hill Etc

A very sad day today with a funeral to attend at Bradshaw Church this lunchtime. I've never seen so many cars and, although we got there in plenty of time we, with many others, listened to the service from outside , with the church packed full.

Mid-afternoon I had my usual jaunt up to Soil Hill, down the north slope 50 yds and along Ned Hill Track where B.S. said hello.

Home was via the farm tracks past Crabtree Hall Farm.

Another strange day where it was very cold to start but very warm on Soil Hill and again I had the wrong gear on me back.

Birds:-

You'll like this....not a lot.

4 Pheasant. 5 Lesser Black-backed Gull.

5 Swallow. Sand Martin (heard).

2 Skylark. 5 Meadow Pipit.

Moorhen.

A Raptor that zoomed through is possibly a Kestrel?

3 Curlew.

A very distant bird on D.C chimney prob. Peregrine.

c30 Woodpigeon.

Usual Jackdaws.

2 Coal Tit.

2 Lapwing in Bradshaw fields was unusual.

Crow species with a nest , on the mast metalwork, that looks very precarious.

And a few others.
