Another day and some more bus journeys, this time the 502 to Keighley followed smartly by the 65 to Ilkley.
Not much disruption to moan about today, but I'll do my best to find something 'not quite right' - as if!
We 'alighted' from the 62 bus just after Addingham and we enjoyed a very pleasant walk along the river Wharf.
I just had a small camera with me today and a few birds were seen.
We called at the really excellent Ilkley Tennis Club cafe to practice posh supping of caffeine with one's little finger held at 45 degrees to the cup.
Last time we were here we enjoyed their scones, but today the scones were absent from the me and you, (as if!).
So we had a Marie Antoinett moment - and we ate cake.
There is a major lawn tennis event starting here on Sunday 8th - 15th June.
Some very, very serious marquee 'gear' was being erected with top of the range seating.
Looks like the tickets will be more than 1s 11d.
We did some shopping in Ilkley where I bought a Henning Mankell novel from a charity shop and Sue bought B. All.
We called at Ilkley Spoons for our usual Sweet Chilli Chicken Wrap and salad and guess what?
They had NO wraps - as if!
So...
We checked the bus times, saw there was a Keighley bus in 7 minutes and legged it to the bus station.
Keighley Spoons was a lot better and we got wraps stuffed full of chicken, salad a Cookie Crunch for pud - all swilled down with a pint of fresh orange - both meals and drinks were less that £20. - I could have bought Two books in the charity shop!
The homeward bus journey was uneventful.
