Lots of mileage (for me anyway) of late but not a lot to show for it!
Today I had a 'twitch' and tried for the Greenshank seen at Blackstone Edge earlier.
Another dull cloudy outing with bits of damp blown along on quite a cold wind - especially while I was gawping from along the east side road.
Sue was in the car next to the M1 reading "War and Peace" and after my first good gawp I texted AC for some more info. on my target bird(s).
I then walked the length of the reservoir along the SW wall to the end.
Some dog walkers were walking along the top of the far banking.
Sue had probably finished War and Peace by now so I legged it back to the car without seeing my target birds - boo-Hoo times two.
