Bradshaw Fields / Farms Late Afternoon

The usual walk along the local fields and past the farm ruins , returning when I got near Ned Hill Road bottom.

Good to chat with farmer Matthew who stopped in his flat bed van thingy.

He told me a Kestrel had dropped down in front of the tractor and caught prey as he was mowing.

Very humid and quite dull here this aft.

The Jackdaw chicks must have fledged - usually as I pass the ruins many adult birds "squawk" as they flew from nests under rafters - but today all was eeriely quiet.

Birds:-

Little Owl.

Green Woodpecker - juv. probably.

C10 Linnet.

2 Stock Dove.

Many Jackdaws.

A few Crows and Magpies.

A few Swallows, Martins and 1 Swift , very high, over Oats Royd moving slowly south by the looks of it - seen from the garden earlier.

Fox.
