The usual walk along the local fields and past the farm ruins , returning when I got near Ned Hill Road bottom.
Good to chat with farmer Matthew who stopped in his flat bed van thingy.
He told me a Kestrel had dropped down in front of the tractor and caught prey as he was mowing.
Very humid and quite dull here this aft.
The Jackdaw chicks must have fledged - usually as I pass the ruins many adult birds "squawk" as they flew from nests under rafters - but today all was eeriely quiet.
Birds:-
Little Owl.
Green Woodpecker - juv. probably.
C10 Linnet.
2 Stock Dove.
Many Jackdaws.
A few Crows and Magpies.
A few Swallows, Martins and 1 Swift , very high, over Oats Royd moving slowly south by the looks of it - seen from the garden earlier.
Fox.
