A run out to a reservoir - high on the moors - was a very very windy affair.
I enjoyed the walk , a change from Bradshaw fields , but birds were difficult to eek out.
July has arrived so we are a step nearer to something moving?
A check of a few photos this evening - of a solitary "Gull" - taken as I was walking away to the car in a gale has morphed into a Kittiwake.
A Calderdale 1st for me!!
Birds:-
Kittiwake.
3 Linnet.
3 Common Sandpiper.
2 Little Ringed Plover. (typo earlier showed 3).
Lesser Black-backed Gull.
Mallard.
Canada Geese.
Excellent work there John! I’ve never seen Kittiwake in Calderdale, an excellent find!
