Local Last Few Days

Not much birding  happening with me at moment.

Spent some time in the garden watching the sky and I've been up the local fields most evenings.

Friday lunchtime I had a walk up the Raggalds "Flood" a small puddle next to the wall next to the road .

The main water is non-existent.

I've been doing  some reading in the garden.

I don't want to get too up to date with my reading though - Reading an Old McBain Book.

Birds:

A few Swifts in ones > South , very very high.

Larry Little Owl was present on a couple of occasions.

10 or so Rook.

A Few Swallows over a mown field.

A Buzzard was high, distant over Oats Royd and Buzzard calls are heard most days further to my north east.

A solitary Black Headed Gull was in the horse field - mobbed by a Crow when it flew up.

A few Stock Doves, lots of Woodpigeons and the usual Lesser Black-backed Gulls over.

Some Geese calls that at first were very quiet, got louder as they approached - c30 Canada Geese.

A Green Woodpecker called once.

Pheasant

Raggalds Walk:

The Raggalds held 2 Pied Wagtail an adult and a juv.

A small mixed flock of Meadow Pipit, Linnet and Goldfinch flitting about.

The Bonnet had a Little Owl on a wall north of Taylor Lane.
