I had an hour at Ogden this afternoon - a circuit of the water.
The 'islands' have 'gone into liquidation' and the reservoir, although still quite empty, is receiving some juice from various points along the way.
A pleasant, clear afternoon with some sun and little wind.
Lots of bird calls from the surrounding trees and bushes but few sightings.
Birds:-
3 Cormorant. (one very dark bird).
Long Tailed Tits.
1 Nuthatch.
Goldcrests.
Only a few Chaffinch seen along the east side.
1 Goosander.
Canada Geese.
1 Treecreeper - very flighty!
c100 Black Headed Gulls.
c50 Lesser Black-backed Gulls
9 Herring Gulls.
12 Common Gulls.
Chiffchaff calling.
(A Chiffchaff was singing as I walked down St. Alban's Road - Skircoat Green this morning sky
