Bradshaw - Ogden Water - Soil Hill

10:30 - 14:45.

Yet another dull, quiet, cold birding outing today - across the fields, through the farms, two stops at Ogden Water visitors centre for coffee (yesterday's long hike was taking its toll on my wee legs).

Then up the grunt, up the oblique  and over Soil Hill Top tramping on some (Flint)  Stones and some (Barney) Rubble (ho ho ho ho ho).

Quite a good day - till I opened the post when I got home.

Birds:

1 Stock Dove.

5 Pheasants.

Chaffinch.

4 Greenfinch.

Many Goldfinch.

6 Blackbird.

5 Canada Geese (fields).

4 Wren.

c20 Meadow Pipit flock over Soil Hill plus a few singles.

Kestrel

Pied Wagtail.

Ogden Water:

4 Tufted Duck.

8 Teal.

1 Cormorant.

Usual 4 Gull species.
