Ogden Water

I had a drive over to Ogden Water this dull and damp afternoon.

I did a mostly dry, circuit of the water, then called at the visitors centre for a natter with Pat and Steve, the volunteers, and a coffee and choc choc.

A second circuit was even more dull with bits of Windy Drizzle.

"Windy Drizzle" sound like a 'Watch With Mother' character .

Sorry I forgot , you are too young to remember 'Watch With Mother'.

Birds:-

A Dipper in the dark promenade sluice was a pleasant change.

8 Teal.

2 Wigeon asleep throughout.

2 Tufted Duck.

Bullfinch.

Just a few Chaffinch (heard).

Long Tailed Tit.

Goldcrest.

Jay (heard).

Still lots of waterside weeds although the water is gushing in big style.

Later on a large-ish contingent of maniac, Black Headed Gulls dropped in screeching , soaring and dive bombing - they must have eaten some weed? .....

They preened for a while then left.

Nothing new today but it is aways good to get some exercise out and about.
