Bradshaw to Queensbury via old railway.

Another wet & wild experience.

Raggalds Flood 10:40.

A couple of Wheatear in the field to the right of the flood and a few corvids.

Low Lane – Old Railway – Queensbury.

Squally showers with birdlife difficult to come by.
3 Goldcrest, Pr Dunnock, 2 Swallows preening on wires with another hugging the field tops.
Usual birds seen on the way- Woodpigeon 3 . Chaffinch. Wren. Pied Wagtail.
Linnet and a lone Canada Goose in the field by the big red striped chimney in the valley.
4 House Martin flying by the railway tunnel – my first local ones this year – feeding on black Hawthorne flies.

Blackcap. Robin. Great Tit. Mistle Thrush.

  1. Interesting walk that, I've not done that route completely. Good one on the House Martins, managed one coming from Station Rd direction this aft.

  2. A nice area down there John, used to be are local patch when we were kids with Yellowhammers a common sight many moons ago.
    Sadly under watched now.
