After yesterdays' tiring Blackpool trip and Fleetwood Marsh it was nice to get back to normal.
Ogden.
12:45 Cold wet and windy.
The usual jaunt today in wet conditions, improving
as the day went by, to become dry , bright and breezy.
Usual Ogden stuff.
Jay, Blue Tit, Great Tit Chaffinch, Wren, Robin, a pretty Mallard offshoot, Carrion Crow.
A Coal Tit (spotted after I had done quite a bit of
searching).
A few Common Gull, LBBG, BHG, 2 GCG, 4 Cormorant,
Little Grebe.
A Green Woodpecker calling and then spotted flying
across the North End of the Res. with a further 2 Green Woodpecker calling from
different directions.
It’s nice to actually spot a Green Woodpecker instead of just hearing
them calling.
Plantation
Area and Coal Lane.
The breeze seemed to be keeping birds at bay. Just
a Coal Tit and 5 Pheasant here.

Hill Track – Soil Hill – Home.
3 Kestrel were enjoying the strong breeze hunting
over soil hill.
A couple of them seemed to be playing or maybe fighting?
Only a couple of Meadow Pipit about on the contour footpath with 3 Goldfinch and c12 Linnet seen on the way home.
Pheasants hightailing it on Coal lane.
Today's post. Not much chance of this pole falling and killing you - is there?
A Kestrel enjoying the windy conditions approaching soil hill.
Soil Hill contour footpath.
BHG
Swalesmoor area from the top of Taylor Lane
Very quiet late afternoon around Ogden
