Ogden – SH- Bradshaw
15:40
A trip around Ogden in the pouring rain, brightening a
bit on SH where I just stopped for 10 mins or so, to put down some birdseed,
then home.
Ogden:
Res. is filling up nicely with the intakes in full flow.
Birds:
Jay, GCG, Little grebe, Tufted Duck, 4 Cormorant.
Green Woodpecker calling.
8 Common Gull amongst c30 BHG. 2 LBBG, Mallard
Goldcrest, Robin, LTT, Chaffinch, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Dunnock.
4 F or Juv. Goosander landed far off ; I paused to drag the camera out of the rucksack and then - no Goosander!
Approaching SH on Ned Hill Road a GSW calling from the
trees.
Soil
Hill:
c40 Meadow Pipit took to the skies and seemed to be
enjoying the sunshine that had finally appeared.
3 Mallard.
Common Snipe.
Perseverance
Road to Home.
A mixed flock of c30 Meadow pipit and Linnet in the
fields.
A large gull flying towards Roper Lane - see photo - best I could do.
A Tawny Owl or a Little Owl - not sure - on a farm gate post a long way away for my camera!
And an unusual sight an Iron Kestrel on top of a pylon.
Also in the Bradshaw fields Tonto’s horse – Scout.
Goldcrest - best I could do - well it was raining!
Plenty of water coming through
Water water everywhere but never a drop to drink.
Soil Hill forest.
Nice to see some Mallard on Soil Hill

Cheers Bri.
ReplyDeleteI've solved the Snipe conundrum- a speck on my spectacles.
(I've solved the blog problem - the date/time decided to change to eastern queensbury time I think).
One day it will be Tawny & Herring!
