Here, There and Everywhere

A real mixed bag today with various places to visit.

We decided to have a bite to eat at Drop Farm Café and afterwards we called in at Leeshaw for 15 mins or so.

It was a pleasure to bump into Brian V. there.

The water was very quiet during my stay with a couple of Oystercatcher flying by and the usual birds about.

It was pleasing to see quite a few House Martins flying over the water and Sue managed to spot a Little Owl.

Later in the day, we had a look at some moorland.

There was Red Grouse, Lapwing and Curlew in good numbers with some other sp.

Later still we had a visit to Sue’s sister at Soyland and took the opportunity to have an hour or so at Ryburn Res.
The path around the Res. is very muddy and the trees in full leaf kept it very dark.
The weather was very changeable with some wet stuff about.

There are some strange looking trees here, with all there branches removed.
They look more like telegraph poles.

There was nothing on the water except a Canada Goose and a Mallard or 3.

A few Canada Goose with young were in the fields nearby – otherwise not a lot happening.

The bird was a long way off and well camouflaged - aren't they always? so they pic is very poor.
