Spotted this very large caterpillar on a walk to Queensbury via Scholes and the Old Queensbury Railyway cycle path.
Looks like it could be a Elephant Hawk Moth caterpillar.

Great find the E Hawkmoth caterpillar John. Have only ever seen one, though I have seen the adult moths around the garden trap in the last 2 summers. Fantastic moths.
