Local Circular

13:40 - 17:30

Bradshaw - Taylor Lane - Soil Hill - Ogden Water/ Golf Course Area - Brockholes - Bradshaw.

A good walk about this afternoon in a stiff westerly breeze, with not a lot to show for it alas.
Star of the show was my first local Little Grebe of the year, on Ogden Water.

I could well have easily missed it as, half way around, I chose to go down to look at the golf club area.
Thank heavens for Swallows they accompanied me all afternoon.

Soil Hill to Ogden.

2 Skylark, 2 Meadow Pipit, Pheasant, 6 Goldfinch!

15:00 Ogden Water.

3 Cormorant, 150 Gulls, Little Grebe, Mallard.

Ogden Golf Course Area.

Swallows, 1 Black Headed Gull, 1 Meadow Pipit.
Possible Willow Warbler and Bullfinch heard but stayed well hidden.

Nothing much see on the homeward journey.

Skylark or Meadow Pipit?

Plenty of berries
