Bridlington South Shore to Ulrome and back

A long hike along a lovely beach (mostly) from Bridlington South Shore to Ulrome and back.
It was sunny and cool when we set of but soon warmed up nicely with the coat relegated  to  the rucksack for most of the day.

First stop was at the new smart cafe, The Cowshed, at Frazethorpe.

Then on to Barmston , where there was a large caravan park with a bar and shop.

We enjoyed a sandwich and some pop from the shop, sitting in warm sunshine.

On again to Ulrome where there is not a lot - a caravan site and shop and lovely rugged beach.
Hoped to bus it back to Brid. but with  just 3 busses a day, we walked back, in lovely sunshine - a bit pooped at the end of the day though.

Birds:
A very good day, for me, today:-

Tree Sparrow, loads of Sand Martin (1st this year), Linnet, 2 Buzzard, Ringed Plover, Turnstone.

At least 30 Oystercatcher in a flock moving up and down the beach.
Sanderling seen several times, one group of 16, dashing along the beach avoiding the incoming tide - a beautiful bird.

Meadow Pipit and Skylark in abundance.
1st Ladybird.
