Raggalds Flood - Little Ringed Plover

Not much birding time for me these last few days with Abigail and Emma to entertain over Easter.

Sue had taken Abigail to see Granddad Great Ken and I had just finished the crossword when I got a text from B.S. alerting me to 3 goodies on Raggalds Flood - Ringed Plover/ Little Ringed Plover

I donned the boots and the waterproofs and quickly left the house.
I could get up to the Raggalds and back before Sue & Abi came back for tea.
I thought the rain had eased but I was soon greeted by a stair-rodder so I decided to stop and put the rucksack cover on.
Good job too - In my haste I'd left the rucksack completely unzipped - nice one.

The Raggalds Flood was wet and windy and I picked out 2 Redshank more or less straight away.

The Little Ringed Plover proved very difficult to see, a little easier when they moved though.

I managed to locate 2 of the 3 birds, the third out of sight in the reeds no doubt.

I think I have 2 Little Ringed Plover the photo's just about reveal the yellow eye-ring.

Also here, 2 Pied Wagtail.

A great spot by B.S. and thanks to Jamie Brass (BOG) - even knowing that they were there  - I still struggled to pick ,em up from my roadside viewpoint!!

Amazing place this Raggalds Flood.

(Ta for the text Bri).

Sorry about the poor pictures - I've posted 'em all - just in case!!
