The usual Saturday morning outing pushing Emma through Shibden Park while Abigail scootered about.
The usual birds were here:
one Black Headed Gull, Coot, Moorhen, Mute Swan, Pied Wagtail, Mallards and Heron.
A singing Chiffchaff was heard down here today.
14:30 - 16:30
Soil Hill
Windy with nuisance showers for a good while up here, usual birds here today.
On the way up, a Little Owl flew into the large tree at the bottom of Taylor lane, eyeballed me, and flew over to a field wall.
Pr. Curlew flew from the shay area across towards Ogden.
One seemed to be chasing the other.
The leading bird seemed very light with dark wing tips in the bright sunshine.
2 Pheasant, 2 Oystercatcher, Pr. Mallard on a pond near the main track and 4 Drake Mallard and a Moorhen on the lower NK pond.
A few Lapwing lower down the north fields.
A walk down the tree line, and a shelter from the rain, on the north side produced a pr. Blackbird.
A good scan down Ring Ouzel clough did not reveal any Ouzels.
A few large Gulls over and a 2 Pied wagtail was about it.
A Kestrel flew overhead as I exited via Ned Hill Track.
B.S.'s car was on the main track as I passed by on Perseverance - hope he had better luck than I did.

Meadow Pipit with worn tail feathers?
Nice Heron shots John and that Blackbird was nearly a Ring Ouzel, next time mate.
