√Leeshaw

10:35 - 12:20

A drive out to Leeshaw late morning.
The weather was calm and dry on arrival but very wet and windy when I left.

Not a lot about today.

Canada and Greylag Geese on the water.
2 Cormorant, 1 Oystercatcher, Moorhen calling and a calling Little Owl (neither seen).
Heron, Black Headed Gull, Lesser Black-backed Gull.
A few Meadow pipits and a Pied Wagtail.

A chance encounter with KM was very informative.
He pointed out the, nearly resident, Yellow Legged Gull on the far west side shore.
It was too far away for my bins and outside the 'scope' of my birding brain.
We got some good views of the bird through Keith's scope before the heavy rain spoiled the job.

I sat a while in the car scanning for waders but nothing came along.
