√Shibden Park & Soil Hill

Shibden Park:

A visit to Shibden Park for Abigail to scooter around.

A weird sort of morning, very warm but with a strongish breeze and black ominous looking clouds - but any rain stayed upstairs.

Usual birds down here:-

Mute Swan, Black Headed Gull, Moorhen and Coot.
A Green Woodpecker called and I did get a megga distant photo of it as it undulated out of sight.

Soil Hill:

15:00 - 16:45

A warm blowy afternoon and a stroll up and around Soil Hill.

The Little Owl was seen from Bradshaw Lane.

c75 Lapwing and a large flock of Starling passed over head >S as I approached the Raggalds Inn.

Raggalds Flood: 5 Lapwing, 2 Black Headed Gull.

Soil Hill had lots of wind and apart from Meadow Pipit - not a lot else.

c25 Lapwing were in the lower shay fields.

A few Black Headed Gull and a Mallard (?) were very distant on the pond to the south of Coal Lane.
