A very breezy afternoon and although drizzle seemed to be all around me, later on the walk, I escaped it - not getting wet.
Black edge lane fields had been cut for silage.
Apparently there is a shortage of hay this year due to the good weather.
An enjoyable walk over moorland for a good bit of it.
Very quiet in the very windy areas.
Just a half circuit of Ogden today.
A few Meadow Pipit 6 ish.
A few Large Gulls overhead.
4 Kestrel.
Usual Gull sp. at Ogden plus a Cormorant.
Rising from the Ogden waterside path to the Car Park, I glimpsed a Green Woodpecker flying past.
A slight detour up to the north on the bridleway, paid a small dividend, with the Green Woodpecker picked out at the top of a distant conifer.
A couple of Pheasants in the plantations area.
3 Stock Dove.
Nearer home, 7 Mistle Thrush mega distant, was a nice surprize, seen from Taylor Lane.
Some birds called as they flew off.
One perhaps looks a bit dubious (smaller).
Soil Hill in the distance
Lesser Black-backed Gull
Lesser Black-backed Gull
Late Silage
Spot the Green Woodpecker
Herring Gull
One of 7 Mistle Thrush.
This one looked a little bit on the small side.
But they were very distant.
