A short lunchtime stroll today, along the canal from Salterhebble towards Elland.
A dull outing with bits of drizzle about, but a lot calmer than Bradshaw.
Birds:-
A Dipper was a lovely find on the river Calder.
Near Woodside Mill there were 2 Goosander and a further 3 Goosander were seen on the return leg.
One of the Juvenile Goosander had me pondering for a while hoping for a Merganser!
A Cormorant made a flypast and Moorhen was on some twigs.
A very late evening stroll up Taylor Lane and around the Raggalds in the encroaching gloom had very few birds about.
