Local Walk - Soil Hill

15:30 - 16:50

Just managed an hour before darkness fell this evening, up to and around Soil Hill.
The wind died down a bit as the walk progressed and there was some late evening sunshine.

(Better weather here, than earlier, on the M62 where a big hail shower accompanied us back from shopping at Junction 32 outlet).

Birds:-

C30 Fieldfare >NE over Taylor Lane.
A possible Skylark on Soil Hill.
A couple of Meadow Pipits heard not seen.
2 Ducks were un-identifiable on a distant NK pond.
A Kestrel was hunting nr. Taylor Lane looking for a late tea.
A few Gulls on the lower Shay fields and overhead.

Quite a pleasant hour really, although the birdlife could do with a leg-up of late.
