Bands of fine drizzle for company today.
Birds:-
Thrush in good supply with double figure Mistle Thrush and Blackbird.
Small flocks of Redwing and Fieldfare were seen from time to time.
Lots of Magpies as well (which I'm not too keen on).
A couple of Jay.
5 Moorhen by the farm pond near the park.
A Bullfinch called from the copse, near Holdsworth, before flying deeper into the trees.
c6 Greenfinch and a Pied Wagtail in Bradshaw Park with the other usual small birds.
Not many Gulls - Herring Gull over, a few Black Headed Gulls and a Common Gull.
Kestrel.
Nearing home, a look see for one my local Little Owl eventually paid dividends with the bird seen in a different field to the 'normal' ones.
The normal fields had a good few horses in them, which probably had a bearing on the bird's location.
A lot different to yesterday's bright sunshine with very dark skies and very dull for photos - but an enjoyable wander nonetheless.
Constant scanning of the field walls failed to reveal Black Redstart alas - but still plenty of time.
