Sowerby Bridge and Soil Hill Later

I enjoyed a short stroll along the canal at Sowerby Bridge late morning.
I went towards Elland and turned back after a short stretch along the river near the many new houses that sit 'safely' between canal and river.

More birds heard today that seen:

Seen:

2 Heron seen separately.
Jay and a Distant Sparrowhawk being mobbed by Crows.
Moorhen and lots of Mallards about.

Heard (not seen):

4 Bullfinch, Great Spotted Woodpecker, 3 Nuthatch.

Soil Hill:

A short visit to a dull and later wet Bradshaw/Soil Hill was a poor outing with poor light for photos.

Looking east from Bradshaw Lane a Mega distant Blackbird with a 'white neck band' which I think is a …… Blackbird.
The 'neck band' is a branch.

Just 2 Kestrel and a couple of Meadow Pipits on the Hill.
8 Mallard ducks were on the lower NK pond.

Common and Black Headed Gulls knocking about.
A solitary Herring Gull was in the fields below Ned Hill Track and a few Herring Gulls passed overhead.

A Little Owl called from Taylor Lane (not seen).

Sowerby Bridge Wharf.

The elusive Sowerby Crocodile!!

Distant Sparrowhawk

Pretty Autumn Colours

Blackbird called Ringo!
