Rodley Nature Reserve

11:30 - 13:30

A planned trip to Pudsey 'Go Outdoors' sale improved somewhat when we included a couple of hours birding at Rodley NR.

Another overcast day with poor light for the most part, the sun popped out for a bit near going home time.
There was a lot of glare from the water.
Our first visit here and we found it a very friendly place and it has a small cafe to boot!

Birds:

A good selection of Waterfowl here, and the feeder area had plenty to keep us occupied as well.

Herring Gull, Black Headed Gull, Common Gull.

6 Stock Dove, 2 Cormorant, 14 Heron, Wigeon, Pochard.
Tufted Duck, Gadwall, Teal, Greylag Goose.

Coot, Moorhen, Little Grebe.

Pr. Goldeneye
- the female bird looks interesting.
2 Kingfisher, Green Sandpiper.

Pheasant, Sparrowhawk, Red Kite.

Reed Bunting, Bullfinch and a good few other sp.
