Sue took Abi and Emma to Elland cinema to see the latest Leggo movie and she kindly dropped me off at the Swalesmoor Ski Slope so I could saunter home.
The weather was pretty grotty, wet throughout the outing.
Where is this heatwave the BBC man keeps on about?
The Helicopter came over to land on his pad just as I went up Ringby Lane bridleway - so the noise from that won't have helped either!
What with the rain and the noise …..enough moaning?
No it isn't !
I've only had these boots 7 years and now the right heel is starting to wear down.
That, is enough moaning.
Birds:
Ringby Top / Lane had only a few Gulls today - mostly Common Gulls.
Also here a Meadow Pipit, Corvids and 4 Goldfinch!
Nothing much seen 'till the fields at Holdsworth.
(A kind tipping type had left another deposit in the middle of crooked lane - it 's brown and sounds like a bell).
Holdsworth fields had a couple of Mistle Thrush and further along the Calderdale Way path a large flock of mixed sp. Gulls were in the fields.
Black Headed, Common and Herring Gulls were here.
The Herring Gulls were very vociferous.
6 Moorhen, Mistle Thrush and a Chaffinch by the park, completed a damp do.
(Free beer and Lesser Pecker arrive tomorrow).
Highly Technical slow-mo video!
What a muddy mess ! Certainly no heat wave at Withens Clough this morning John - perishing !!
