Ryburn Reservoir - Baiting Reservoir, circular walk.

14:00 - 16:00 (ish).

An enjoyable walk for a couple of hours this afternoon.
We parked at Ryburn Reservoir's small car park and headed across the head of the reservoir. A right turn at the end took us along the waters edge and soon after rounding the first bend our path left the reservoir via a stile on our left.
The path climbs straight up field edges to pass through a farm, then past some terraced cottages then passes through another farm to exit at Baitings reservoir.
Across the head of the reservoir and a right turn through the car park and a second right turn follows a fenced path through fields to eventually return to Ryburn Res. water's edge.
A really pleasant walk now, leads back to the start.

Birds:-

Not a lot happening here, but it was pleasing to see a Greenfinch from our garden as we left home.

3 Canada Geese, c10 Mallard, M. Teal.
4 Mistle Thrush, Raven, heard and seen.
2 Jay.
Lots of Black Headed Gulls about and a Herring Gull passed by.

Baitings Res. had a solitary Common Gull.

As I sat doing the crossword earlier this morning, the sound of calling Geese had me rush outside with the camera to find 4 Canada Geese landing on the nearby pond. Better luck next time.

Sneck of the day.
