Thornwick Bay to Bempton RSPB

A break at the east coast earlier this week, was spoilt slightly by sea fret, but not spoilt by much!

A long walk from Thornwick Bay to Bempton and beyond.

A special visit this time, on our previous annual pilgrimages, we have seen 'a few Puffin' but on this visit we saw 20 plus Puffin.

The usual plethora of Gannet with a few Fulmar.

Lots of Razorbill, Guillemot and Kittiwake.

Early on, a Raptor was seen , on the way through the fields to the cliff top path.
The bird flew very low to land in a distant tree in the mist.
A speculative photo has captured the bird as 'a bit of grey'.
With a bit of enhancement on the laptop the bird is visible but it's a poor photo!
Any comments welcome!!
It's probably a Sparrowhawk, although it did not seem like one in the bins.

Also here, Yellowhammer, Tree Sparrow, Whitethroat, Linnet.

A lifer ,Corn Bunting was heard with a 'glass like' call.
A distant bird was seen but the photo at distance in the mist isn't the best!

A memorable day out.
