Ogden in the rain

14:00 - 15:45

A very wet outing this afternoon where I was hoping the heavy rainfall might have brought something down onto Ogden Water, but alas it had not.

Just Mallard and Canada Geese on the water, with a Heron on the shoreline - very quiet indeed.

A dog walker mentioned that he had seen a crow pulling at the Heron's tail as he went past it!

I took a short diversion to look from quite a distance for the Great Spotted Woodpecker chick. There was no call or sight of the bird so it may have fledged.

A flyover of a calling Oystercatcher was as good as it got.

The usual species were augmented with a Nuthatch high in the dark trees canopy and a bedraggled, damp looking Grey Wagtail just discernible down in the sluice area along the Prom.

Some awesome photos!
