A Long Wettish Birding Hike

12:00 - 15:45

Bradshaw Farm Track, Ogden Water, Ogden Back Lane/Plantation, Coal Lane, Soil Hill, Taylor Lane.

A longish outing today on a very showery afternoon.
Not just as soaked today with the showers being spasmodic and lighter.

Nice to chat to Roy H at Ogden.

Birds:-

Little Owl near home.

Ogden Water:

28 Black Headed Gull, 2 Common Gull, 1 Lesser Black Backed Gull and one point with Gulls coming and going throughout. 
No sign of B.S.'s Teal from this morning alas.
2 Grey Wagtail.

Ogden Back Lane/ Plantation.

Kestrel.
A heart stopping moment when I thought I'd got a Kittiwake, high >NNE on it's own, but the bird is a 1st Winter Common Gull.
2 Raven overhead > E.
Kestrel.

Coal Lane:

Kestrel.

Soil Hill: 

Wet, A few Meadow Pipits and a Kestrel.

Taylor Lane:

4 Mistle Thrush.

Bradshaw Lane:

Little Owl (in a different spot than usual).

An enjoyable, if wet ,do.
