Ogden Friday 22nd November

A thoroughly miserable morning's weather with thick mist and drizzle allowed me to catch up on some of my jobs:-

1. Doing the crossword.
2. Supping coffee.
3. Watching Sue putting the final touches to another 8 jars of home made marmalade.

After lunch I had a drive over to Foreside Lane but the heavy drizzle here made me up sticks and try a dull and gloomy Ogden instead.

It's quite sheltered at Ogden, mostly, so the outing was ok.

2 Herring Gulls were with the usual smaller gulls today.

A Dipper and a Kingfisher were both seen at the north end although the Dipper soon flew off and the Kingfisher was very distant.

2 Great Spotted Woodpecker and a Green Woodpecker were all heard but not seen.

The usual smaller birds knocking about - I could not find anything special in amongst them.

Still it beats doing the crossword and supping coffee!
